The Boilermakers and Ironworkers each maintain programs that can benefit the members of both organizations. In addition, other organizations’ programs exist to support our members, our issues, our unions and the labor movement.

Bank of Labor
Originated by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Bank of Labor puts union money back to work—for unions. It’s the nation’s only labor majority-owned and -operated bank. Banking services offered include business banking, business lending, treasury management services, fiduciary services, retirement services and union member banking. Bank of Labor maintains offices in Kansas City, Kansas, and Washington, D.C., and has services in all 50 states.

Boilermakers National Funds
The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers has established four Trust Funds for Boilermaker member benefits: the Boilermaker-Blacksmith National Pension Trust, the Boilermakers National Health and Welfare Fund, the Boilermakers National Annuity Trust and the Boilermakers Vacation Trust.

MOST Programs
The Boilermakers National MOST Industry Trust Fund, financed by hourly contributions based on man-hours worked, supports the administration of the union’s 17 programs, annual conferences and other efforts in connection with the joint goal of the union and participating contractors to further the interests of the construction industry. As a Tafty-Hartley Trust Fund, an equal number of Boilermakers and contractors sit on the board of trustees.

Boilermakers National Apprenticeship Program
The Boilermakers National Apprenticeship Trust Fund, financed by hourly contributions based on man-hours worked, supports the administration of the union’s four-year apprenticeship program for those indentured the Construction Sector local lodges for such training. As a Tafty-Hartley Trust Fund, an equal number of Boilermakers and contractors sit on the board of trustees.

AFL-CIO
The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) works tirelessly to improve the lives of working people. The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers is an affiliate member and holds a seat on the AFL-CIO’s board of directors.
The AFL-CI the democratic, voluntary federation of 57 national and international labor unions that represent 12.5 million working men and women.
