Safety is the most important component of any workplace, and our unions work to ensure the workers we represent go home safely at the end of their workday.
The Boilermakers union has always placed a high value on training and is affiliated with several training and safety programs considered among them best in the world: the MOST Program and the Boilermaker National Apprenticeship Program. In addition, the Boilermakers maintain 52 training centers that boast state-of-the-art equipment.
MOST
The MOST Programs include 17 safety and training programs developed specifically for the Boilermaker trade. MOST stands for Mobilization, Optimization, Stabilization and Training and was designed to increase the skill levels of all Boilermakers while providing value to the owners and contractors who employ them. Since its inception, MOST programs have resulted in a 90% reduction in OSHA recordable injuries.
